Eric Goubert is a composer, an arranger and a performer. Some people see him as an acrobatic experienced musician, some others as a completely crazy one. His music is demanding, complex and referenced, but never without a bit of humour. It finds its strength in its immediate and easy-listening approach. Do not try and understand or analyse it otherwise you might just find yourself in a formidable labyrinth. Instead, close your eyes, lie down or let your body move randomly. You are now entering a non-secured sound zone and you will lose all your points of reference. No control protocol has been put in place. The journey will be initiatory and Eric will take care of everything.

EH is a complete and open jazz guitarist. Thanks to both his background and experience he is an excellent reader. He is also very much inspired when it comes to improvised music. He shows unstinting rigour which gives a robust framework to the band. At the same time both his mind and sound can be very rock: angels and demons come out of his guitar.

FV is an impressive versatile musician. After a classical training, he quickly turned his attention to other artistic horizons- with a preference for Balkan music- which made him a musician with a rich soul. He masters the Eg5 aesthetics perfectly and is the ideal partner. He is reliable and we can always count on him.

While he is warm and concentrated during rehearsals, he explodes when on stage: all the strength of the experience he has acquired within rock, pop, jazz, electro, song, improvisation, World music, Art music projects comes out. The long list reveals his infinite skills and passion for Music. Plus, despite the fact that he is a well-known artist, he stays close to everyone and spreads a high sense of altruism within Eg5.
